Two Softball Tournaments, Four Hours in the Air, and 1500 Miles Later...

OK, so I haven't updated in a while - I've been busy as hell lately...

Sis had two softball tournaments - one of which was a national tournament - they finally beat their rivals - 12-2 (could have been worse of a beating - they called the game)...  Then died out the second day to finish 6th...  darn.  Oh well - two months off - maybe we'll be better next year.

I'm on vacation in SoCal...  my home.  Used to live here - it's good to be back.  We got in yesterday around 1:38 PM...  great co-pilot, had a lot of humor...  "Ladies and Gentlemen...  Start Your Cellphones!!!", and other funny statements.  He made it quite enjoyable (I love to fly - getting a good cockpit speaker makes it a lot better, though).

Today was "family day" - we went to Knott's Berry Farm...  remember this is a family that isn't big on insane roller coasters...  I've never liked any roller coasters - my parents dramatized me at a young age - never had been on one since (about 10 years)...  notice the past tense - I rode a few coasters (not too much in my range)...  and missed out on a couple others from the sis - it's all cool though...  I finally broke the fear <party!!!>.  Bummer was, on the second time I rode one of the coasters (Jaguar), I didn't sit back properly - and ended up bruising myself (looks like some vertabrae - I'm pretty skinny...  and no padding on the cars) pretty bad...  darn.  Oh well - no biggie - I'll just limp around a little bit...

That's about it for now - I'm on vacation for another 5 days...  or 4...  not sure - Tuesday the 21st I go back home...  Hope you all enjoy your days!

D-Man Signing off...

I'm out.

Softball Day...

Today - we left at 1 PM - got back at 9 PM...  for 2 games.  At least it wasn't 5 AM-Midnight...  but still.  I finally figured out why the family has me go along with them...  So I can be their slave during these expeditions...

All I got out of it?  8 hours away from work on the computer, and a deep sunburn that'll probably take a week to get rid of...  Fun, I know.

They won both games - which meant that we only had to be there for a 3 PM game, and a 5:50 PM game...  tomorrow's first matchup is at 9 AM...  meaning we have to be up around 5:30 AM, and leave by 7 AM.  If all goes well, we'll only have to play at 9 AM, 1 PM, and (potentially), the 3:30 PM championship.  Wish us luck.

I'm tired - I'll see you all later...

Today...  I mean, Yesterday

Doh - didn't even realize it was past Midnight...  I'll explain why later...

Got some more filming done today - and met a really cool guy who'll be able to help us out with things we normally wouldn't be able to do (you know who you are)...  I hope to finish filming next week - and hopefully have this sucker edited and on a disc before I head on out to California in less than 2 weeks...

I've gotten nothing but applause for the rough edit - thanks a bunch to all who left comments - to those who didn't, I hope you enjoyed it.

Tonight, my sister had the opening two "pool" games for this weekend's tournament (if you follow this for a while - it'll be about one every week or two...).  A pool game is a game that is only for warmup, etc. - games that don't count in the final run...  Bracket games start tomorrow, and are the ones that count.

They lost (again) to a team that always chokes us - Texas Elite - we were up 5-2, then they got up - scored a 5-run rally (mercy rule applied - max 5 runs per inning), final score 7-5, them.

We lost our second pool game (which started at 9:30 PM), but I didn't pay much attention to it - it was late, the girls were tired...  8-7, Texas Wild (the other team).

My sister's team ('96 Rage) thankfully doesn't have to play until 3 PM tomorrow - so we get to sleep in...  by we, I mean everybody but myself - have a few people who have requested things be done rather early...  probably only get a couple hours of sleep...

Oh yeah - why I got back late - second pool game began at 9:30, or at least, was scheduled to begin then.  That started about 15 minutes late - therefore carrying the game 15 minutes longer...  One hour game - 10:45 PM, then the after-discussion, and packing the car back up - 11 PM - then the hour-long drive - Midnight...  45 minutes of catching up - and here we are!

That's it for now - more tomorrow - I'm off to get this f'ing bug spray off me...

My Summer Movie: Title To Be Determined

After a few hours of editing, I finally finished a rough cut.  We still have two action scenes, and a lot of misc. scenes to film - this is nowhere near how long the final version will be (probably around 20 minutes).

This film is 12.8 MB - 3:46, Microsoft MPEG-4 AVI codec, 720x480.

DOWNLOAD IT HERE!:

The audio is all computer generated - making it somewhat funny when you only have one male, and one female voice...  I hope you understand.

THIS IS A PRIVATE RELEASE - DO NOT RELEASE THIS TO ANY MAJOR SITES.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Comments appreciated. :)

Off to the Editing Lab...

Editing work today - getting the footage I've already got together into one package...

It's actually kinda funny - the audio is the MS Text-to-Voice tool - with only one male and one female character - makes for a funny video...

I'll post it here later tonight when I finish it...  If it gets done tonight...  I'm half-way through the intro scene...

More news and another update later!
